Junior Maths Challenge Success 2018

Students excel at the Junior Maths Challenge (Whole School - 16/07/2018)

Students at The Garibaldi school achieved 6 golds, 8 silvers, 7 bronzes in this year’s UKMT Junior Maths Challenge. Over 260,000 students from across the UK sat the Junior Maths Challenge with roughly the top 6% receiving a gold certificate, the next 13% silver and the next 21% bronze.

Approximately 8200 of the top students are invited to sit a follow-on competition, the Junior Mathematical Kangaroo. Zi Xu Wang and Olivia Barlow were successful in achieving this well done!

The Junior Maths Challenge is run by the UK Mathematics Trust and supported by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries; it is aimed at students in Years 7 and 8. Well done to all the students who took part in the challenge.
