PLEASE NOTE: Lessons for this course are held at Meden College in nearby Market Warsop.

In the first year, you will cover familiar subjects in more depth, such as mechanics, materials and waves. Exciting new topics such as particles; quantum phenomena and electricity are also examined.

In the second year, you are introduced to topics including fields and further mechanics. Choices are then offered from options including astrophysics, medical physics, applied physics and turning points in physics.

The practical skills of how science works are integrated throughout the course.

Where can it lead?

An A-Level in Physics is highly valued by universities. It can lead to careers in engineering, forensics, medicine, sports science, geophysics, aeronautics and nanotechnology.
