This is the right subject for you if you enjoy expressing yourself in an active and exciting way, working in a group, exploring ideas by putting yourself in other people’s shoes, playing many parts in different imaginary situations and looking at plays written by other people.

Assessment

Component 1: Exploring the performing arts (36 Guided learning hours - GLH)

Component 2: Developing skills and techniques in the performing arts (36 GLH)

Component 3: Performing to a brief (48 GLH)

Where can it lead?

The course prepares you for Level 3 drama related qualifications such as A Levels and BTEC Level 3. It can also lead to a career in drama and theatre related industries. Skills developed through this course are relevant to many different academic and professional areas such as English, PE, and Music.
