Welcome to The Garibaldi School
Welcome to The Garibaldi School. Founded in the 1960s, we have gone from strength-to-strength, innovating education over the years for 11–18-year-olds. With our built-to-last mantra, we strive to offer an engaging educational experience.
Ofsted described the college as being ‘inclusive and caring’ providing students with quality support for those who need it. The best way to judge us is through our achievements.
“Welcome to The Garibaldi School website. This website is designed to provide students, parents, staff and visitors with all the information needed about our school. The website will be regularly updated so please keep coming back.
What we do and how we do it is underpinned by our ethos of ‘Pride, Respect and Achieve’. I have high aspirations for our students and staff to ensure that we are all the very best we can be, in all that we do. We are a close-knit community where we thrive on positive relationships and interactions value the partnerships we have with parents and the local community.
Our school was visited by Ofsted in 2022 and we retained our Good judgement. We are determined though not to be satisfied with this and strive to achieve an Outstanding judgement and be a beacon of our local community.
We are constantly seeking opportunities for our students both inside and outside of classrooms that create memories to take into the future. We ensure that our curriculum offer is engaging and that teaching is of the highest quality.
We are rightly proud of our school; I certainly am. We offer many opportunities for parents to be engaged in the life of the school, to meet and speak with key staff or even to have a look around during the day to see us in action. I warmly welcome visitors, prospective parents or current parents to get in touch and book a tour.”James Aldred BA, QTS, NPQH, MCCTHead Teacher
“The Garibaldi School is committed to providing our young people with the very best start in life. We believe that our young people should have high aspirations that ultimately results in them fulfilling their potential and going on to lead successful adult lives. We have developed a culture of caring for our young people, every child is truly seen as an individual and we work hard to remove barriers that they may have. This is embodied in our school aims ‘PRIDE, RESPECT, ACHIEVE’.
Ofsted recognise that Garibaldi is a good school. What we know is that Garibaldi is well on the way to becoming an amazing school and an institution that the whole community can be truly proud of.”Ryan Hawley BSc (Hons), QTS, NPQHExecutive Head Teacher
