Welcome to Personal Development

Unifrog

Unifrog is an integral part of our careers program at The Garibaldi School. It is an extremely useful platform that all of our students have access to, from Year 7 right up to Sixth Form. Unifrog offers a plethora of information, ranging from apprenticeships, current labour market information, university courses, CV writing, personal statement writing and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses).

We encourage all of our students to make use of Unifrog on a regular basis, and this will be supported by our in school careers provision.

Relationship and Sex Education (rse)

The following document contains The Garibaldi School Relationship and Sex Education Policy and an overview of where Relationship and Sex Education fits into the wider Personal Development curriculum plan.

The following letter recently sent to parents July 2020 setting out the updated DFE guidance on Relationship and Sex Education and information about the Parental Consultation process.

We would like to invite parent/carers to take part in a Parent Consultation on our RSE curriculum. Please click on the link below where you will be taken to a short online form where you can submit your responses to the consultation.

Consultation Form

  • Please read the RSE policy above prior to completing the consultation.
  • Depending on your responses there are between 8 and 13 questions to respond to.
  • The consultation will open on Monday 13th September 2021 and the deadline for responses is Monday 27th September 2021.
  • We will consider responses to the consultation ahead of Sex and Relationships modules being delivered in Personal Development lessons.
  • Paper copies of the consultation document are available by request.

2021 -2022

As part of the Personal Development curriculum students are taught about a variety of personal, social, cultural and health related modules, as part of this they will consider health and wellbeing, relationships, fundamental British values and careers.
