Messages to Parents

Welcome everyone, I can't wait to see all of our fantastic year 8 cohort thrive in their new adventure. We will, once again, prove we are the best we can be by aiming high and achieving well.

Recognition

Six students from the year group will be recognised for the quality of the work they have produced or the positive attitude to learning they have displayed and will be added to the Hall of Fame every half term.

Hall of Fame

Name of Student: Ava Pritchard

Ava Pritchard for her progress made this term. Especially in her recent knowledge and application tests.

Nominated by: Mr Connolly - Computing

Name of Student: Alfie Thompson

Always works hard, tries his best and works well as a team member.

Nominated by: Mrs Lee - PE

Name of Student: Man Ho Choi

For doing extremely well in both parts of the assessment in music this term. Your understanding of notation is brilliant, and you play keyboard like an absolute pro which inspires others in the class to become better performers - what a legend!

Nominated by: Miss Biggs - Music

Name of Student: Jess Osbourne

She is always engaged with her learning and has a great work ethic. She gets involved in all class discussions but listens really well to what others say too. She has completed all her homework to a high standard this half- term. She is a star!

Nominated by: Mrs Hudson - History

Name of Student: Trinity Pearce-Kirk

Trinity has approached every one of our Science lessons this HT with determination and ambition, whether it has been experimenting with electrical circuits to increase the brightness of light bulbs, making electromagnets to attract paperclips, or sticking a balloon to her hair when learning about static electricity. Trinity has also been extremely kind and helpful to other pupils throughout. Well done Trinity!

Nominated by: Mr Brimelow - Science

Name of Student: Albert Varley

Albert is really deserving of this nomination. His work is always of a very high standard and he shows a real enthusiasm for English.  Well done!
